Simonton area debris removal ends July 15, 2016
The City of Simonton has been notified that some well water tests are showing mixed results. The City has determined that it would be beneficial to begin tracking the residential properties that have shown mixed test results from testing their water well. Please fill out the form below to report your results. Mixed results include well tests that began negative and now have changed to positive readings. This information will help the City assist residents.
For residents that have treated and continue to have positive results, the following list are suggestions:
If you continue to have mixed testing results or struggling to get a negative result, we suggest hiring a licensed well service provider to evaluate the system.

The Simonton EOC closed effective Friday, 4/22/16 at 3 p.m.
At the time of this posting, all pumps have been turned off. County staff will remain on site until midnight, Friday, 4/22. They will return Saturday just to check on our status. Breakdown of the pumps will begin on Monday, 4/25.
Until that time, volunteers are needed to check on the security of the equipment. (Recommended time period is every two hours) beginning at midnight, Friday, 4/22. If an issue is found during checks, please contact Lou Boudreaux at 713-515-3164 or Stephan Sear at 713-775-8489.
As part of our recovery plan, we will need volunteers to assist with clean up in our neighborhood. We know everyone is tired but we are on the downhill side of this event. High School students can get service cord hours for their time.

REMINDER: Please call Sprint for waste containers as soon as possible. Coordinate with your neighbors if you can share a container (and the costs).
Neighbors: Roads in Valley Lodge are currently closed to all non-residential and non-essential traffic. The Fort Bend Sheriff’s Department has also increased area patrol.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO MAN THE PUMPS.
SHIFTS NEEDED ARE:
2 People for the 10pm-2am shift
8-9 people for the 2am-6am shift
8-9 people for the 6am-12pm shift
MAKE SURE YOU LOG IN AND LOG OUT. YOU CAN DO THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE SIMONTON WEBSITE USING YOUR PHONE. JUST MAKE SURE YOU ENTER AM OR PM AFTER THE TIME.
KEEPING TRACK OF THIS INFORMATION IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RECORD KEEPING.
If you choose to voluntarily evacuate please CALL City Hall (Do Not Post this information) at 281-346-4102 so that we can have a sheriff include your property on their property check list.
Please make sure there is no loose debris in your yard as to not clog drainage ditches and cause more flooding.
