Simonton Animal Control was created to help facilitate the effectiveness of the Animal Control Ordinance originally created February 15, 2000. Once a violation is reported, a representative will ascertain the situation as soon as possible. Currently, the Animal Control Enforcement Unit is composed of Animal Control Investigators (aka Animal Control designee) and Supervising Animal Control Director.

Animal Control Investigator/Designee’s Duties/Enforcement
Duties include responding to stray, injured, vicious, and dangerous animal non-life threatening complaints, patrols/sweeps for stray animals before they can become a nuisance, and to provide support to Fort Bend County Animal Control. Animal Control enforcement follows the direction of Simonton Animal Control Ordinance, TDH Animal Control Officer Basic Training, and all applicable state laws. If Simonton does not have an active animal control investigator/designee the operation of the office will be deferred to Fort Bend Animal Control.
