Ft. Bend County Road & Bridge have completed their assessment of the impacted areas and are cleaning up the debris. Some roads still have high water levels (over 12″) and will be blocked by barricades. Please do not go around these barricades! The banks are still extremely wet and vehicles can slide into the ditches. (correction) When the assessment is completed and Valley Lodge is reopened be cautious of
you may walk into the area but be cautious of pot holes, snakes, etc.
Center Point Energy will be here this afternoon (if not already) to complete their assessment. At that time, they will notify City Hall of any work they need to complete before residents are allowed back into the areas.
The Brazos River bridge (FM1093) is closed between Simonton and Wallis due to damage from the flooding. Assessments are being made by Road & Bridge.
